Swarovski Spotting Scopes Get a New Design
Tue, Aug 25, 2009
The best spotting scope money can buy just got better. New for 2009 Swarovski Optik has introduced a brand new version of the infamous Swarovski Spotting Scopes.
The former Swarovski ATS and STS models were available in both 65mm and 80mm objective lenses and also your choice of standard definition lenses or HD lenses. These models have been discontinued and are now replaced with the all new Swarovski ATM and STM models. Still available in both 65mm and 80mm objective lens sizes, angled or straight body design and are now only available in HD premium lenses.
The new models now feature an even ligher weight body design now made of magnesium. This took the best-of-the-best one step further by making them even lighter.
All Swarovski Spotting Scopes are sold as “body only” and do not include an eyepiece. The eyepiece is selected separately and you now have choices of fixed 30x Wide eyepiece, 20x-60x Zoom or 25x-50x Wide Zoom eyepieces.
Also new for 2009, Swarovski has introduced its newest camera adapter, the Swarovski UCA Universal Camera Adapter. This adapter will allow just about any camera to shoot directly into the zoom eyepiece of your spotting scope. Great for point-and-shoot and DSLR cameras, this is the by far the best way to begin digiscoping with your Swarovski spotting scope.
Swarovski continues its domination of high-end spotting scopes with the all new Swarovski Spotting Scope series.
